It was so lovely to speak to so many of you over the past few nights. Thank you for your patience and willingness in using technology to make the ‘virtual Parent’s Night’ such a success. It was great to be able to share how impressed we are with how hard working all of the children in P3 are, and how well they have settled back in.
For those who missed appointments, or had issues with technology, please do not worry. If you wish, please contact the office to make a new appointment and this will take place via telephone call after October.
This week we say goodbye to our SHANARRI buddies. We will miss them, and I’m sure they will miss us. Since being here, they have visited all of the infant classes, featured in our assemblies and even have been on an outing to the woods beside the school. They have taught us so much and we hope they come back to visit us.
In PE this week, we put all of our football skills to the test in mini games. We were very impressed with our dribbling skills whilst being put under pressure with the other team trying to get the ball. We are looking forward to continuing one more week of this after the October holidays.
Please keep an eye out once we are back for the newsletter to find out what is coming up next term. We have started planning our next topic of ‘Ancient Egypt’ and we filled our mind map with questions we want to find out! It is very exciting! We have written to the museum to see if we can be shown or can borrow some Egyptian artifacts, since we can’t go on a trip this year. Fingers crossed they write back to us.
Thank you again for all of your support this term and at this unsettling time. It is very much appreciated, as were all of the kind words expressed during Parent’s Night.
Have a lovely October holiday, whatever you have planned and we shall see you all back at school on Wednesday 21st October.
Thank you again,
Miss Smith and Mr Woodward.
